Karate-Ka of the Year!

Karate-Ka of the Year Award…
This Award was inspired by the Great Sensei Stones,
Winner of the Sensei Nursey Cup and the very Heart and Soul of ESKA!
Every year, each student has the opportunity to work hard to win the Karate-Ka of the YEAR award by showing true spirit in their karate.  Such a student consistently demonstrates Karate-Ka of the Month qualities but always goes the extra mile with their karate and dedication to the art, this includes:
            • Buddying new Karate-Ka
            • Taking part or leading session warm-ups
            • Taking part in competitions and gradings
            • Supporting the clubs activities (including sweeping the dojo floor)
            • Setting an etiquette example for others in the dojo
            • Giving back to the ESKA Karate community (teaching)
            • Pushing the boundaries of their Karate with additional study e.g. Duke of Edinburgh Award

They have shown great drive & dedication with a fantastic attitude to karate…
Training regularly, with an exemplary level of attendance and demonstrating an extremely high level of etiquette.
This young, lady even helps buddy new karate-ka, welcoming and supporting them into our fantastic club…
This karate-ka has also shown great potential, competing and winning competitions. Such a bright future in karate ahead of them…
